Dave Hullfish Bailey and Nils Norman surrounded by squares

Okay, so I thought I wanted my work to be about talking about the environment etc, and I discovered the work PERMACULTURE at this exhibition, where I read alot of little snippets of books. Which was quite nice. But I dont know what happened, I think sometimes it takes a while to sink in when I see shows. I understand this idea but I didnt understand how these objcts and spaces and places tied in with it all. I found the reading v. interesting and the topics were exactly like kind of stuff I liked....microgardenenvironmentsustainability stuff....but is this just the way I life I want to lead instead of it being in my work? Im starting to realise that theres alot of looking at the earth shows at the moment, The Barbican, The Earth show at Royal Academy coming, this one here. Its fashionable to look like you care. I do actually care though. I hardly ever use bags although i probably am quite wasteful but I try not to be more than some. Its Glastonbury sinking in I guess. But yes Im starting to discover and difference between life and art and things I find out in art the inform my life and the way i live it but not neccessarily topics in my work. Or maybe they'll come out in the future. I guess its a way of looking at landscape all this stuff so it's relevant. The shapes though, very strange. Maybe I didn't understand the materials enough.
